Wav Archives
On May 7, 2000 I started updating my wavsite with a new wav daily. At the time my site was on Xoom.com, but was yanked for some (unknown to me) reason on May 14, 2000. On May 15, 2000 I signed up for a site on 50megs.com and have been happily updating every day since.
Here are all the wavs from the beginning -
May 2000 - June 2000 - July 2000 - August 2000 - September 2000 - October 2000 - November 2000

August 6, 2000 letmeout - 40k - Have you ever had a headache so bad it felt like there was a little person inside your head trying to get out? "'Scuse me! 'Scuse me! Can you let me out of here?!!!"
August 7, 2000 Today in 1970 - the first computer chess game was played. From War Games - 23k - "Shall we play a game?"
August 8, 2000 8hrchain - 57k - male "Good morning! And yes, you've won a fabulous 8 hour day chained to this machine!" I'll be busy all day working on writing descriptions for the 300 or so new wavs for 'The Smallest Wav Library'. As long as the Mt. Dew holds out I'll be fine!
August 9, 2000 Today in 1974 - At noon on this day, U.S. President Richard Nixon’s resignation was official. Mr. Nixon, the subject of the Watergate scandal, had been facing possible impeachment. The previous evening he had given a speech to the American people announcing his resignation. He was the first U.S. President to resign.
info courtesy of Those Were The Days
resign - 33k - Richard Nixon "I shall resign the presidency effective at noon tomorrow."
August 10, 2000 For my best friends Elf and Punz -
Chart Topper 1994 - Can You Feel the Love Tonight - 296k - Elton John (whole song available by e-mail request)
(my buddy Disney Fan just happens to have a Lion King movie wav site up)
August 11, 2000 scared - 22k - Punz, Elf, and I went to the movies last night. Wwe saw "Hollow Man" & "What Lies Beneath" and liked both movies, but Elf had a little problem with "What Lies Beneath." He had seen a review of it so he looked at through the review and the review didn't go along with the way it appears at first. That's why I stay away from reviews, all they do is confuse you. Both movies had their scary moments, so today's wav is from 'Toy Story'. Rex "Were you scared? Tell me honestly."
August 12, 2000 mstrclaw - 42k - from Toy Story, Alien "Claw is our Master. Claw chooses who will go and who will stay."
While we were at the grocery store Punz played the Claw Machine. She is gooood! Won 4 prizes out of 10 tries! All hail Queen Claw...

A new look to go with the new 'domain name'.
August 15, 2000 topact - 28k - cartoon "This oughta make us the top act in the business."
Thank you for all the votes yesterday at Top50Wavsites. Finished in #9 place! WOOHOO!!! Let's see if we can top that today? I've added a pop-up vote reminder to several of my pages. Keep up the great job voting for me and maybe I'll finish #2! (not even trying for #1, Don's Fave Wavs deserves that spot permanently!)
August 16, 2000 Yesterday was 'Relaxation Day'. I was too busy to relax. I have almost 650 wavs to write descriptions for, and then add to my Smallest Wav Library! Busy busy busy!!! I did notice that Don at My Fave Wavs hasn't updated since monday, so today's wav is for him. heheheeee...
goofnoff - 35k - male "I'm an expert in goofing off, and this is goofing off."
August 17, 2000 Until a couple months ago Punz helped take care of two elderly ladies, one of which had Parkinson's Disease and had been in a wheelchair for many years. We got a phone call Tuesday that the lady passed away, and we are going to her funeral today. I'm sure her spirit is doing loop-de-loops in Heaven and saying in the immortal words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. - (freeatlast - 65k) - "Free at last! Free at last! Thank God Almighty, we're free at last!" Rest in Peace, Hildur.
August 18, 2000 One of the Chart Toppers today in 1984 was 'Ghostbusters' by Ray Parker Jr.
ghostbus - 89k - "There's something strange in your neighborhood. Who you going to call? Ghostbusters!" Full song available by e-mail request Check out Punz's Ghostbusters wav page.
August 19, 2000 elfmike - 35k - Elf was busy with the 'puter all day yesterday. He put together three new "Guy Movie" pages which will be up real soon since their finally ready. Plus he went out and bought the movies "Daylight," and "Volcano." and he sat at the 'puter making wavs from his purchases. Here is Elf's own voice "I am your worst nightmare, an elf with a microphone."
August 20, 2000 'Gentlman' Jim Reeves born August 20, 1925 - Died July 31, 1964.
jreeves1 - 366k - clip of 'Billy Bayou'.
August 21, 2000 salute-u - 32k - from The Simpsons, Apu "You magnificent bastard, I salute you." You will not believe what Elf found at work last night. Remember hearing about the State of Maryland commemorative quarters that were messed up by the U.S. Mint? On a roll of quarters that was in Elf's cart that had just happened to get put in tail side out, he noticed a quarter that looked pretty brassy. Upon closer inspection he realized that he was supposed to sell that quarter for only 25 cents! I don't think so. He bought that roll and you can expect to see it on ebay in the real near future. Elf, you magnificent bastard, I salute you.
addendum: upinsmok - 49k - Sammy Hagar "Another dream goes up in smoke!" Guess what turned out to be just a trick of the light? Yup, Elf's quarter. Better luck next time, buddy.
August 22, 2000 Today is 'Be An Angel Day'
angels - 150k - Alabama "Ooh I believe there are angels among us. Sent down to us from somewhere up above." (whole song available by e-mail request)
August 23, 2000 survivor - 226k - clip of 'Eye of the Tiger' by Survivor. (whole song available by e-mail request)
Tonight is the final episode of the television show 'Survivor'. Who do you think will win?
August 24, 2000 winner - 109k - Jeff Probst from last episode of Survivor "The winner of the first Survivor competition is... (dramatic pause) Rich. Congratulations, Rich." Yes folks the fat, naked, gay guy won. WooHoo!
Last night we went to a Survivor party at a local night club called "The Keys". After Elf had a couple of beers he decided he was 'brave' enough to enter the Survivor contest that was being held. He managed to make it through the first round of elimination. But the second round was tougher. The contestants had to stand with their hand in a pitcher of ice water and standing on one foot! He gave it a really good try. I thought the guy who forgot to (ahem) 'use the restroom' (polite way of saying he had to pee so bad he could taste it!) would have wimped out first. But Elf lost his balance and he was out. Interestingly enough the last 2 contestants were 'pee boy' and the guy that won.
elfonice - 38k - This has to be Elf describing his hand!
August 25, 2000 idontknw - 15k - Hi everyone, it's Elf, Wav Junky is out doing something, Punz is in bed, I'm sitting here thinking about this update and nothing is happening. The wheels have stopped turning. I apologize that today is a boring update, especially when there's alot of things to wav about. For example, Gene Simmons the lead singer of Kiss it's his birthday. Also Claudia Schiffer the supermodel, Tom Skerritt, Sean Connery, and Elvis Costello all have birthdays today. That is alot of material to wav from but I'm going through the files and getting no inspiration. Sorry but today's wav is Porky Pig "I d-d-d-don't know."
drybrain - 30k - from I Love Lucy "Something's happened to my brain. It's all dried up." Here's Lucy with another lack of inspiration wav.
August 26, 2000 numnuts - 39k - From Full Metal Jacket, Sergeant "What is your major malfunction, numbnuts?" As Elf was trying to leave work last night he has to fill up his change cart as much as he can with coins so the next person has a full cart to start with. Once a person prepares the coin buy they go to the cashier to buy their coins, after a person gets to the cashier this process should take no more than five minutes to complete the coin buy. For some inexplicable reason the process took the person in front of Elf thirty minutes. As a direct result Elf and another slot attendant both clocked out thirty minutes late. It is a good thing because it is overtime, but Elf only thought "I got better things to do with my time then standing around waiting on you. What is your major malfunction numbnuts?"
August 27, 2000 Our telephone has been slowly 'dying'. First the redial went. Then the volume control stuck. Finally today the speakerphone would not shut off! No matter what we did, the phone wouldn't hang up. Out of frustration I unhooked the phone from it's cord and DROPPED it on the (uncarpeted) floor! Guess what... ifixit - 21k - female "Hey, I fixed it." It works fine now.
August 28, 2000 schoolbell - 10k - Elf starts classes at the local community college today. Don't be late on your first day! Did you take an apple for your teacher? No fighting with the other boys at lunch!
hot4teacher - 70k - clip of Van Halen's 'Hot for Teacher '. (whole song available by e-mail request)
Hi all, this is Elf, I had to put this up. I went to school and the teacher for my first class was a guy. Oh well! But my writing class was a different story. Jamie is HOT!!! I think I'm going to enjoy that class. It's nice when you can look forward to seeing a teacher that is as easy on the eyes as her. See you later.
August 29, 2000 I now have my own 'mail server' to go with the domain name! Write me at "webmaster@wavjunky.com" and tell me what ya think of the website! Maybe someday soon I'll offer you your own "@wavjunky.com" account! Good idea?
Now watch out for the mailbox monster! - 117k - I put this wav together a couple years ago. Still cracks me up. :)
August 30, 2000 Sorry about the late update. Punz got a new computer game last night and I had to practically pry her away from the computer to post today's wav. In fact, today's wav sounds a lot like what she said to me! minemine - 30k - Daffy Duck (or is it really Punz?) "Mine! All mine! Mine mine mine! Muhahaha!"
August 31, 2000
Goodbye England's Rose - 881k
(whole song, MPEG Layer-3)
Today is the anniversary of the death of Diana the Princess of Wales. Sir Elton John made this beautiful tribute to her.
