On May 7, 2000 I started updating my wavsite with a new wav daily. At the time my site was on Xoom.com, but was yanked for some (unknown to me) reason on May 14, 2000. On May 15, 2000 I signed up for a site on 50megs.com and have been happily updating every day since. July 1, 2000 Everybody ready to PARTY this weekend? Please, please remember to follow this bit of advice from Jeff Foxworthy "Just please don't drink and drive. It's not funny." July 2, 2000 bleed2 - 134k - Elf's company had their company party today. He persuaded Punz to go along. The party was held at a water park with slides and such. Punz had never been on a water slide before. He said "I remember this one, it's tame go ahead and slide down it." As it turned out Punz has never been more scared in her life. You can hear Punz' thoughts on this wav. "Tickle us do we not laugh? Prick us do we not bleed? Wrong us shall we not revenge?" all I have to say is Elf you had better buy her some flowers or something. July 3, 2000 godbles2 - 188k - a clip of the Lee Greenwood song 'God Bless the USA'. Whole song available just ask! I hope everyone had/is having a fun and SAFE 4th of July weekend. We are all working today, and poor Elf has to work on the 4th! :( July 4, 2000 fireworks - 76k - Hope everybody has a safe and very happy Independence Day. We are planning to go to the city fireworks display, maybe we'll have pix up tomorrow. Take care and BE SAFE!!! July 5, 2000 Yep, I was lazy this morning and posted the wav late. oooh - 17k - "Ooooh" heard lots of this last night at the fireworks display! July 6, 2000 dreamon2 - 130k - Elf started a new job at the Casino that he works at today. He is now a slot attendant, he came from the security dept. because in the security department they rotate shifts every 3 months. This makes it nearly impossible to take advantage of the educational benefit that is offered there. As a slot attendant with a set schedule, Elf can go to school to pursue a degree in business administration. Dream on, dream on, dream on, dream until your dreams come true. July 7 - 12, 2000 No updates. Combination of working all weekend, server down for maintenance, and just not enough motivation to work on site. July 13, 2000 imback - 114k - (evil laff) "I'm baaccckkkk!" Thanks MarthaG, Elf, and Punz for giving me the 'kick in the pants' I so desperately needed! July 14, 2000 best - 138k - Don at My Fave Wavs has done something I appreciate greatly (and didn't even ask him to do!). He has redirected most of the votes he will get today at Top 50 Wavsites to count for my site. Don, you are 'simply the best'. Thanks Buddy. notgood - 17k - little kid "This isn't good." Have you ever done something that you knew wasn't right exactly 2 seconds after you did it? Late last night we decided to go on a 'video and munchies' run. Just as the (locked) door clicked shut behind Elf he asked "Do you have the keys?" Let's just say, we looked more like the Marx Brothers than cat burglars! Managed to pry a screen off the kitchen window and shove Punz in, over the sink! She's now had her bath for the week. (snicker snicker) Found Elf's keys on the computer desk, still don't know where Punz left hers. July 15, 2000 ruagodyes - 49k - Wav Junky "Are you a god?" Don "Yes I am." (Just ask Don at Fave Wavs) Sometimes you just have to resort to using 'important stuff in history' as an inspiration! Sooo... Today in History: 1945 - Fat Boy, the experimental, plutonium bomb, exploded at 5:30 a.m. in the first U.S. test of an atomic bomb. The mushroom-shaped cloud rose to a height of 41,000 feet above the New Mexico desert at Alamogordo Air Base. All life in a one-mile radius ceased to exist. kaboom - 56k - Marvin Martian "Where's the kaboom? There was supposed to be an Earth shattering kaboom!" 1981 - Singer Harry Chapin died in a car crash in New York. Chapin, a folk-rock balladeer, was 38. His hit songs included Taxi, W-O-L-D and the million seller, Cat’s in the Cradle. He was a champion of the hungry and homeless and organized a massive effort to provide food for the needy. This was his legacy to the world; his work continues by other performers. I've been up all night uploading wavs and other files for Elf. He has added a couple more movies to his 'Guy Movies' site and made a few improvements. Today in History: whenyouwish - 161k - Disneyland in Anaheim, California opened 45 years ago today! I wanna ride the 'Star Tours' and ya gotta buy me Mickey Mouse ears!!! July 18, 2000 Today in History: intel - 34k - 1968 Intel Corporation is incorporated. toot - 29k - 1936 The first Wienermobile rolled out of General Body Company’s factory in Chicago. Now aren't you glad you stopped by today? :) July 19, 2000 buyatoy - 72k - from The Producers, Max "I'm gonna buy myself a toy. I've worked very very hard, and I think I deserve a toy." Leo "A toy?" Max "A toy." We bought a new toy today. Actually it's a toy for a toy. We spent almost 53 dollars on a 16meg disk for our digital camera, which we are taking on our trip to Las Vegas this weekend. Punz and Elf are finally able to go on their honeymoon. (Which they had to postpone because of the car accident right before the wedding!) The insurance company is finally settling!!! While Punz and Elf do the 'newlywed' thang, I'll be in the casinos gambling all the money! :)
